Stanway Rovers Yellow 1 –
Earls Colne 8

Yes a match at last, very cold and without Robert, Sean and Michael K.

The lads were really ready for the game and were all very positive!

They started with determination and were passing the ball well. Within 10 minutes Kieran A scored a great goal and it wasn't long before another Arkle goal.

The team spirits were high now and they were playing as a team with some great passing. Brandon had to make some saves but most of the game was in Earls Colnes favour. The wind got up and even the snow flurries didn't hold us back. Next came the Charlie goal and soon another Kieran A.

Half time score 0 v 4
A very happy team chat, but back to the game quickly to avoid the bitter cold!

SRY changed goal keepers and the lad who had been excellent in goal was now playing out field and scored. Unfortunatly SRY were gradually making their way to the club house due to feeling unwell. Earls Colne kept their heads, spirit and continued to play well. Next came a goal from William and soon another William goal. It wasn't long before Kieran A helped himself to another goal. Then came an injury for Charlie, and due the nature of the injury little first aid could be given! He had to retire. Which left Sam to score the final goal.

Well done lads.

Final score 1 v 8
Man of the Match: Alex H

The team were all envolved in the match, and it was clear that a number of players have improved on the ball, is it the training or the games against Dad's!
Probably a mixture.
Well done everyone keep positive, play as team, keep passing and using the space!
