MANAGERS COMMENTS:
The game started late as the under 13 team had played extra time and gone to penalties.
Boxford scored in the opening minute. E C responded immediately and were awarded a penalty. A number of boys offered to take it but Kieran A was given the job. The keeper saved it! Boxford dominated the first half assisted by slope and a strong wind.
Half time 0 - 4
The boys were encouraged to make the most of the wind in the second half.
They had several chances denied by the wood work, there were goal mouth scrapes but nothing went in.
Boxford scored again.
A better second half but the luck and confidence were not with us.
The first few matches of the season saw the team with determination, confidence and guts. It showed in their play and we got results! The last few weeks the team have lacked it all. Come on lads, lets get back the winning ways, you need to get stuck in, like Friday nights, believe in yourselves and your team!
