A beautiful afternoon, no Kieran A as unwell, no Jack as injured and no Jordan.
The game began at a speed, within a few minuets Wiv were down the wing and a goal. One lad had great speed and their finishing, although I hate to say, was brilliant. The express train raced down the wing a number of times. Brandon saved, then they scored, we made a great long ball towards their goal. Soon Brandon was at full stretch a number of times and they continued to score. BUT our lads held it together, never giving up and trying to make
their way to the Wiv goal. EC took a great corner, Michael K made a great lob which was just off target. The first half ended, the Wiv score big, but the lads had played some good football. The defence were battling continually.

Half time it was decided to bring Brandon out of goal, his size and strength were needed on pitch. The replacement keeper was a brave Sam.
The boys started to be negative to each other. They were told to play as a team, be nice, that's when they are at their best!
The second half began very well, the lads were playing well, Sam needed to make some saves and Brandon's size was helping to slow them down. A good 15 minuets went by with EC containing Wiv. A goal mouth scramble led to another goal, and soon another. The ref smiled when one of our lads said,"doing well only 2 nil this half", he turned to the ref and said, "yes I know 10 nil!" But the morale held!
Then a penalty, poor Sam. The ref disallowed the goal, and penalty was taken again, both times Sam went the right way, but those goals are huge!
